July 30 is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons Visit disclaimer page, an opportunity to raise awareness of human trafficking and further support those impacted by it. This year’s theme—"use and abuse of technology”—underscores the positive and negative impacts technology has on anti-trafficking efforts. As the use and reliance on technologies in our personal and professional lives continues to grow, it is important to recognize how they can be used as innovative tools to prevent and respond to human trafficking while simultaneously creating more opportunities for trafficking and other forms of abuse to flourish.
